Puerto Vallarta Baby Turtle Release

Just back from Puerto Vallarta where I attended and made a PD presentation at the Canadian Chapter meeting of SATW. I went with the mindset that PV is just a beach town. Boy, how wrong can you be. I’ve got a ton of stories about horseback riding in the mountains, visiting a UNESCO world heritage site, an organic coffee plantation, releasing baby Olive Ridley turtles (that was my beach time ),and getting up close and personal with amazing birds, boas and crocs in a newly-opened eco reserve (Estero El Salado) that’s about three minutes from the hotel zone. And let’s talk food – what a dining scene. Check it out in the Nov/Dec issue of Okanagan Life.

With direct seasonal flights from Kelowna, this is definitely a destination to consider for winter getaways whether you’re looking for a swim-up bar or added adventure. http://visitpuertovallarta.com/
