Laurie Carter has enjoyed an eclectic life. Author of the Taylor Kerrick Mysteries, Emily Carr’s BC trilogy, Timeless Emily Carr, and two travel books, her work as a freelance writer, photographer, and columnist includes hundreds of print and online credits. The one-time HR executive fully embraced her career 2.0 with years of experience as a magazine editor, book editor, publisher, and instructor/coach to aspiring writers and photographers. Her work has been honoured by the Canadian Tourism Commission, the Travel Media Association of Canada, the North American Travel Journalists Association, and the Whistler Independent Book Awards. A long-time resident of British Columbia’s Okanagan Valley, Carter now shares a cozy century home in a quaint Ontario village with her husband and their adopted kitty.
